thecast: Year three
Two years ago today I created my first video blog. Nearly 200 videos and over 1 million views later, a new dawn comes. This year is sure to be even more splendid than the first two, with more amazing videos on science, technology, philosophy, and life documentary!

Searchlores
Allow me to write a little bit about searchlores, the newest piece of thecastsite and it's "library" project.
To say only say it is a website on internet searching would be a false statement, because it is really much more than just that.
Searchlores is a website in the spirit of the internet, it is dedicated to the free pursuit of knowledge and the joy of finding things out. It contains many more "lores" than just searchlores, such as Anonymity lores, and Passwords lore.
Fravia's welcome page puts it best:
As you shall see upon entry to this site, if you so choose, there is quite a bit of information to indulge in. Though this knowledge comes to you free of charge, it does require of you an open mind and some self-doing in order to understand the techniques contained within. You will find here useful hints, powerful tools, and half-forgotten lore. You will meet others that, like you, are interested in learning - and teaching - searching methodologies. You'll gain knowledge and power here that will enable you to search the web rather effectively. New Site
There are a number of updates to write about today, since we have a new website.
For one thing, there's a new layout. This layout is much more flexible, much quicker to load, and much prettier than any ones we have had in the past. I think I will be keeping this one for a while.
Allow me to point out a few things. To the left there is a "learn" sidebar that contains icons for some of my favorite resources to learn from, illicit, scholarly, and amateur.
In the upper right corner there is a general internet search feature that is optimized to search the sites listed in the learn sidebar. Type something in there and click "search," it's pretty cool eh?
We've also adoped searchlores, as the first of a number of mirrors we'll be hosting. You can find the searchlores archive at "searchlores.thecastsite.com," or by clicking on it in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
